Human Resources Specialist

Web Solutions seeks a Human Resources Specialist who will help to recruit and interview creative professionals, building a reputation both within and outside of our industry as a growth-oriented company. This individual will will oversee routine personnel matters and the day-to-day management of all HR-related policies, procedures, and services. The Human Resources Specialist will evaluate the performance of team members and departments and forecast hiring needs while promoting our team-focused and innovative culture that emphasizes creativity, intelligence, and growth.

This is a full-time position onsite at our centrally located offices in Meriden, CT.

Role Requirements:

  • Manage the recruitment and staffing process including the creation of detailed job descriptions, initial candidate assessment and evaluation, and new hire onboarding / training
  • Assist management in evaluating team member and department performance, providing guidance regarding development and training to promote optimal professional growth focused on performance, improvements, and efficiency
  • Facilitate all day-to-day personnel requirements including, but not limited to, PTO requests, benefits inquiries, and other procedural responsibilities
  • Coordinate team member trainings, professional development, and role-specific certifications
  • Plan team-centered events and promote Web Solutions’ culture, mission, and values
  • Expand upon current internship programs within the organization

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Performance Management or related field and/or proven work experience in a comparable role
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the handling of sensitive employee information
  • A background in an agency environment with working knowledge of digital marketing desired
