Tech Support Specialist

As a Tech Support Specialist, you will provide direct assistance to clients for a variety of technical requests including email support, setup and troubleshooting, DNS updates and more. Additionally, you will provide support to the Technology Director to facilitate internal IT support and updates with our team.

You will be responsible for creating and managing these tasks from start to finish – ensuring that client requests are completed on-time and within budget – while managing client expectations for quality and effectiveness.

Your position day to day:

  • Respond to client emails and phone calls to discuss specific requests, identify possible solutions, and create tasks for the execution of work
  • Provide email support including account setup and migration, password resets and initial troubleshooting for deliverability and related issues
  • Complete DNS updates and troubleshooting website availability issues related to DNS setup
  • Facilitate real-time client screen shares to provide direct email and/or DNS support as needed
  • Create help documents to provide additional support and tutorials for clients as needed
  • Identify technical support needs as well as possible escalations while following set protocols
  • Day to day technical support for other team members including hardware and software troubleshooting

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years experience in an IT environment desirable
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of email and DNS configuration
  • Proficiency with tools including, but not limited to, Zoom, Zoho, Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
