Starting Monday, May 10th, the company’s new outdoor campaign will be featured on electronic billboards around Hartford, Connecticut. Initially, the company’s creative, reflective of its updated brand, will be on display on the billboard in front of the Colt Building on I 91 North. The following week (May 17 -23), it will run on I 84 West just outside of downtown.
During its two-week run, the outdoor campaign will introduce and reinforce the Web Solutions brand to thousands of people traveling through the city and position it as a leading provider of smart marketing solutions.
To counter possible commuter apathy towards billboard advertising, Web Solutions, has added a twist to their creative. Commuters who take the time to read the board will be rewarded with an opportunity to win the hottest piece of technology currently on the market – an Apple iPad. The billboard will urge readers to visit the company’s web site (websolutions.com) for a chance to win.
“A web-centric company advertising on a billboard is a bit of a paradox, so we wanted to have a little fun with it,” said Tom Barton, president of Web Solutions. “We purchased the billboard in an auction and decided to use it creatively to see what kind of response we could generate. We’re excited to see what happens.”
Visitors to the Web Site will be asked to submit an entry form containing the billboard’s message for a chance to win every technophile's fantasy.
“We expect a good response rate given the prize,” said Lori O’Brien, Director of Sales and Marketing. “However, what will be truly interesting is how many respondents we can turn into fans, followers, connections and clients.”
The contest starts May 10, 2010, and ends May 31, 2010, and its most important requirement is that you’re able to recall what the billboard states.
