Associations That Work

November saw the launch of several new websites developed by the staff of Web Solutions, Inc. for a variety of non-profit and professional organizations in the region. ConnCASE (http://www.conncase.org/), the Connecticut Council of Administrators of Special Education, boasts a new look and feel as well as a Members Only area that allows its members access to legislative agenda items, newsletters and upcoming conference information that is accurate and up-to-date thanks in part to a variety of content management modules. A new site for the American Physical Therapy Association of Massachusetts (http://www.aptaofma.org/) was developed with the user in mind. The navigational system was drastically improved to complement the new site layout. Content management software allows both association administrators and district representatives the ability to update key portions of their site. Also, the Middletown Downtown Business District (http://www.middletowndowntown.com/) sought to promote the its district to both prospective businesses and visitors to the area. Their site features a business directory, guide to shopping, dining and entertainment, and real estate listings for commercial properties within the district. “We enjoy working with associations and non-profit groups such as these because we feel we add value to each organization’s goals for the web,” remarked Lori O’Brien, senior copywriter for Web Solutions. “It’s great to be able to not only give them the ability to manage their site themselves but also to support them in reaching their desired audience.”
