The Mount Carmel – Saint Cristina Society has served the social and religious needs of Italian-Americans in the greater Hartford area since 1980.
The Society was looking for a new website to communicate with its membership of more than 300 men and women of Italian background and Catholic faith, and share information about opportunities for socialization, recreation, entertainment, and charitable and civic works.
Web Solutions built a new site in its Content Management System v4 platform using the Web Solutions Penguin theme. The site is very user-friendly and easy to navigate—an important feature given that Society members tend to be older and less computer-savvy. The site is also mobile-friendly for younger members.
In addition to the popular announcements, photo gallery and “did you know” sections, the site also features a new members only area, which allows members to log in and view documents never available electronically before, such as bylaws, meeting minutes and financial reports.
"Web Solutions was great through the whole process," said Bob Lang, Website Committee Chair. "They listened to what we wanted, added their own unique ideas, and they delivered a beautiful, more modern website for the Society."
