Since its creation in 1986, the Steven J. Suzio Memorial Golf Tournament has been promoted with a mailed flier and registration form.
This year the 31st annual event—to be held on June 8 at the Tunxis Plantation in Farmington, CT—has a new website where attendees can register for the event, read about the Steven J. Suzio Scholarship Fund, and learn more about Steven J. Suzio himself—the young athlete and scholar in whose memory the scholarship was established in 1979.
Web Solutions built the new site in its Content Management v4 platform using the Web Solutions Penguin theme. "The main purpose of the new site is to provide information to our current supporters and recruit new participants," said tournament committee member Ric Suzio, who added that his favorite feature of the new site is the ability to include photos and memories from past years.
In addition to allowing visitors to get more information and register for the tournament, the site will be a place where attendees can go year-round to learn more about the event, find out which local charities have received donations, and download scholarship applications.
"It was so great working with Web Solutions," said Suzio. "They made it so easy for us. No matter how many changes we had, they were very patient and understanding."
